Musical theatre is a craft.
It deserves an institution equal to it.

The Conservatoire is Michael Cassel Group's new home for musical theatre training in Australia. For over a decade, we've brought some of the world's most loved productions to stages here and overseas. Now we're building the training ground behind them.

Our ambition is simple. We want to build Australia's leading pathway into musical theatre, in the spirit of the world's great performing arts schools. The best of them aren't defined by size. They're defined by what they ask of a student, and what they give back.

From your first class to your first opening night, we believe in one thing. Training taught by people who've actually done the work is the only training worth having.

Our Faculty

Every class is taught by a working professional.

Our faculty are performers and creatives currently working across Michael Cassel Group's productions. They bring real experience and real stagecraft directly into the room.

We hand-pick faculty for their craft and their character, not just their credits. Every teacher understands what it actually takes to walk into a professional rehearsal room and hold their own.

The Pathway

One continuous standard, from first class to opening night.

Three stages of training, each one building on the last.

I.

Foundation

Ages 3–8

First encounters with movement, music and imaginative play. The earliest foundations of a performer's craft, built through joy, not pressure.

II.

Recreational

Ages 9–17

Serious, structured training in singing, dance and acting. Built term by term, for students developing real technique.

III.

Elite

Ages 14–18

Selective, audition-based training for students preparing for a genuine career on stage.
